Product Manager at Innoplexus
June 2020 - December 2023 | Pune, IndiaAutomated an artificial intelligence pipeline for novel target identification for any given indication utilising multiple target characteristics like druggability, clinical suitability, biomarker potential and gene and protein expression combined with literature evidence support and genomics analysis. Performed target identification, validation, indication prioritisation and drug combination analysis for multiple pharmaceutical clients in partnership for asset development using the product. Performed ontology fixes to increase data coverage and supported the data science and data engineering teams with validation. Identified potential targets for a small biotech client and the asset is currently in clinical development.

PhD canditate at University of Southern California
August 2008As a Research Assistant in Prof. Enrique Cadenas' laboratory my thesis focuses on understanding the effect of cigarette smoke on lung mitochondrial function in order to gain insights on the factors forming the molecular basis of disease (COPD). Some of the highlights of my accomplishments include: o Conceptualized the reason for pulmonary surfactant deficiency in smokers to be due to a metabolic shift in lung alveolar cell mitochondrion o Exposed mice to cigarette smoke using Teague smoke exposure system and designed experiments to prove the concept o Isolated mitochondrion and primary type II alveolar cells from mice lungs exposed to cigarette smoke o Performed enzymatic assays and various cell biology techniques on biological samples o Experience with cancerous cell lines from human and rat origin o Proficiency with Seahorse XF Extracellular Flux Analyzer to assess mitochondrial function o Performed statistical analyses such as Students t-test and ANNOVA on results obtained
